Foot tendonitis (tendinitis) is inflammation or irritation of a tendon in your foot. Tendons are strong bands of tissue that connect muscles to bones. Overuse usually causes foot tendonitis, but it can also be the result of an injury

Tendinitis Symptoms

  • Pain in a tendon that gets worse when you move.
  • Difficulty moving the joint.
  • Feeling a grating or crackling in the tendon.
  • Swelling, sometimes with heat or redness

Tendinitis Treatment

  • Corticosteroid injections: Corticosteroids (often called “steroids”) are often used because they work quickly to decrease the inflammation and pain.

 

  • Surgery: This is rarely For severe problems that do not respond to other treatments.
